The 18-hole Par 72 layout uses the layered red and white rock terrain as both hazard and spectacle, and the desert vegetation — blackbrush, prickly pear, Joshua trees — gives the course a character unavailable anywhere on the Wasatch Front. Ivins sits at the edge of the metropolitan expansion spreading west from St. George.
