Golf in Camden

Camden is the county seat of Ouachita County in the Ouachita River valley of south-central Arkansas, a community with significant Civil War history—three battles were fought in the Camden area in 1864 during the Red River Campaign—and a twentieth-century economy shaped by the defense manufacturing that produced military munitions at facilities in the area. The city's commercial role as a regional center for the surrounding south Arkansas counties and its Ouachita River access create the community context in which Camden Country Club has served the professional population for generations.
