Golf in Lake Village

Lake Village is the county seat of Chicot County in the extreme southeastern corner of Arkansas on Lake Chicot, the largest natural lake in Arkansas and the largest natural oxbow lake in the United States. The lake was formed when the Mississippi River cut off a large meander, creating a thirty-mile crescent of water renowned for its bass and crappie fishing. Chicot County's position in the most remote and economically challenged corner of the Arkansas Delta gives Lake Village Country Club the character of a local institution serving the county's professional and farming leadership in a region where the natural resources of the oxbow lake system define the outdoor recreational culture.
