Corona is a city in Riverside County in the western portion of the county, east of the Santa Ana Mountains and south of the Jurupa Hills along State Route 91 and Interstate 15. The city occupies the floor of the Santa Ana Canyon and the broad Corona plain at roughly 700 feet elevation. Riverside County's western communities, including Corona, are in the zone between the Inland Empire and Orange County, with significant commuter traffic on both State Route 91 and Interstate 15. The city has a substantial commercial and industrial base, including major retail centers.
