Golf in Monte Sereno

Monte Sereno is a small incorporated city in Santa Clara County on the west side of the Santa Clara Valley, adjacent to Los Gatos. The city is entirely residential with no commercial zone within its boundaries and has one of the smaller populations of any incorporated city in California. Santa Clara County's western valley cities, including Monte Sereno, are in the transition zone between the flat Silicon Valley floor and the Santa Cruz Mountain foothills. Monte Sereno residents use neighboring Los Gatos and Campbell for commercial services and employment. The city has large-lot residential development on the lower mountain slopes, with the terrain becoming more pronounced as it rises toward the Santa Cruz Mountain summit. The Lexington Reservoir is nearby, providing water storage in the Santa Cruz Mountain foothills above the city.
