Golf in Lamar

Lamar is the Prowers County seat in the lower Arkansas River valley near the Kansas border, best known as the Arkansas Valley's premier bird-watching destination during the annual crane and waterfowl migrations that bring naturalists from across the country to this corner of the southeastern Colorado plains. Spreading Antlers Golf Course provides the Lamar community with recreational golf access in a small city whose outdoor recreation identity has traditionally centered on the river corridor's wildlife rather than its golf facilities.
