Golf in Elberton

Elberton is the county seat of Elbert County in northeast Georgia, known internationally as the Granite Capital of the World. Elbert County's extensive granite deposits have made it the primary source of dimension granite for memorials and building stone in the United States, and the area supplies curling stones for the sport worldwide. The nearby Richard B. Russell Lake and Lake Hartwell provide recreational amenities on the Savannah River system, and Elberton is the home of the Georgia Guidestones, a granite monument built in 1980 and demolished in 2022.
