Golf in Fort Moore

Fort Moore (formerly Fort Benning) is one of the largest US Army installations in the country, located in Muscogee County adjacent to Columbus and straddling the Georgia-Alabama border. The installation is the home of the Army Infantry Center and School and the Armor School, training ground for two of the Army's primary combat arms. Fort Moore was renamed in 2023 from Fort Benning as part of the Naming Commission process that reviewed military installations named for Confederate figures. The base's golf course serves the large military community stationed here.
