Golf in Kahului

Kahului is the commercial and transportation hub of Maui, home to the island's primary airport, its major shopping centers, and the port facilities that handle the cargo and passenger traffic for the island. The community's practical, workaday character contrasts with the resort environments of the south and west shores, and the Dunes at Maui Lani Golf Course serves the permanent resident population of central Maui in the urban core from which the island's daily commerce operates. The Maui Arts and Cultural Center, the Maui Ocean Center, and the proximity to the Iao Valley State Monument give Kahului more cultural substance than a purely commercial hub might suggest.
