Golf in Mounds

Mounds is a small Pulaski County community near the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers in the southernmost corner of Illinois. The Egyptian Country Club takes its name from 'Little Egypt,' the regional nickname for far southern Illinois, a moniker with roots in both geography and history. Pulaski County is one of the most rural and historically African-American communities in downstate Illinois, shaped by river commerce and the legacy of the Cairo waterfront just south. The club sits in flat bottomland terrain defined by the great river corridors on either side.
