Golf in Battle Ground

Battle Ground carries one of Indiana's more historically charged names — the community sits near the site of the 1811 Battle of Tippecanoe, where William Henry Harrison's forces fought Tecumseh's confederacy in a conflict that reverberated through early American politics. The Tippecanoe Battlefield memorial and museum preserve that history north of Lafayette in Tippecanoe County. Today Battle Ground is a small rural community, distinctly quieter than neighboring Lafayette and the Purdue University campus to the south. Two golf facilities serve the Battle Ground area, a concentration that reflects the broader Tippecanoe County demand generated by Lafayette's population and Purdue's student and faculty base.
