Golf in Crawfordsville

Crawfordsville anchors Montgomery County as its seat, a small city of genuine historical distinction in west-central Indiana. Lew Wallace wrote Ben-Hur here in the late nineteenth century, and the Ben-Hur Study — the limestone building where he worked — still stands as a local landmark. Wabash College, one of the few remaining all-male liberal arts colleges in the United States, has shaped the city's character for nearly two centuries, bringing a modest intellectual culture to what is otherwise a farming and light-manufacturing community.
