Golf in Rockville

Rockville is the Parke County seat and the gateway to what the county calls the covered bridge capital of the world — 31 historic wooden covered bridges survive in Parke County, more than in any other county in the United States. The Covered Bridge Festival each October draws visitors from across the region to tour the bridges that span Sugar Creek and its tributaries through forested creek valleys. Parke County's landscape is notably different from the open flatlands of central Indiana: wooded ravines, creek bottoms, and modest hills give it a character closer to southern Indiana than to the till plain counties to the east. Rockville maintains the unhurried pace of a small county seat where the landscape itself is the primary draw.
