Golf in Groton

Groton is a Middlesex County town in the Nashua River valley east of Fitchburg, a moderately sized community with a private school campus, preserved farms, and the Squannacook River watershed that has kept development pressure lower than in the Route 128 tier to the south. Groton Country Club serves this community in the moderate upland terrain of the Squannacook River watershed, in a town where the combination of the school's campus, the agricultural land, and the river protection have preserved a rural character uncommon at this distance from the metropolitan core.
