Golf in Plymouth

Plymouth is a large Plymouth County town with more golf than almost anywhere on the South Shore — six venues within one municipal boundary. Crosswinds Golf Club, Old Sandwich Golf Club, Pinehills Golf Club, Plymouth Country Club, Waverly Oaks Golf Club, and Atlantic Country Club together make Plymouth one of the most substantial golf markets in southeastern Massachusetts. The town's large land area, its sandy glacial soils, the pine-and-oak woodland of the interior, and the availability of open land that coastal development pressure has not yet fully absorbed all contribute to the remarkable concentration of golf in a single community.
