Golf in Bath

Bath is a Kennebec River city with one of the most concentrated maritime histories in the United States. The Bath Iron Works, established in 1884, has built naval destroyers here continuously and remains one of Maine's largest private employers. The Maine Maritime Museum chronicles the shipbuilding tradition that made Bath wealthy in the 19th century, when wooden sailing ships built on the Kennebec were known in ports worldwide.
