Golf in Brewer

Brewer sits directly across the Penobscot River from Bangor, connected by the Joshua Chamberlain Bridge — named for the Civil War general and Maine governor — and functionally part of the Greater Bangor metropolitan area. The city has a quieter, more residential character than Bangor, with the forested ridges of eastern Penobscot County close at hand. Three golf facilities operating in Brewer is a notable concentration for a city of its size: Pine Hill Golf Club, Rocky Knoll Country Club, and Traditions Golf Course and Learning Center each serve different segments of the Greater Bangor golf community from the east-bank side of the river.
