Golf in Chebeague Island

Chebeague Island is the largest of the Casco Bay islands with a year-round community, accessible by ferry from Cousins Island in Yarmouth. The island's 400-odd year-round residents have maintained farms, fishing operations, and the island's distinctive social infrastructure for centuries, with summer visitors adding to the population substantially in July and August. Great Chebeague Golf Club has been part of that community life for generations. The ferry crossing is an integral part of the golf experience here — arriving by boat, walking through a landscape with no through traffic, and playing nine holes with Casco Bay visible on multiple holes is unlike any mainland Maine round.
