Golf in North Yarmouth

North Yarmouth is a Cumberland County farming and residential community north of Yarmouth and Freeport that has retained more agricultural character than its neighbors to the south. The Toddy Pond watershed drains much of the town's interior, and the golf course's name reflects that connection to the local hydrology. North Yarmouth has resisted the full suburban transformation that has overtaken parts of Cumberland County closer to Portland, and Toddy Brook Golf Course occupies a landscape that still reads as small-town Maine: open fields, stone walls, farm stands, and working woodlots. The Royal River runs through the eastern part of town, adding to the network of water features that give North Yarmouth its agricultural character.
