Golf in Gorham

Gorham is a Cumberland County community that has grown substantially as Portland's suburbs push southward and westward along the Route 25 and Route 114 corridors. The University of Southern Maine's Gorham campus anchors the community's year-round identity and gives it a cultural dimension beyond the typical bedroom suburb. The town's outer neighborhoods retain an agricultural character — rolling fields, mature hardwoods, the forested Ossipee ridges to the west — that the suburban growth has not entirely erased. Two golf facilities serve Gorham: Gorham Country Club's full 18-hole layout and Salmon Falls Country Club, together providing options across the town's geographic range.
