Golf in Rockland

Rockland is the commercial hub of the Midcoast, home to the Maine Lobster Festival each August and the year-round departure point for the Maine State Ferry Service routes to Vinalhaven, North Haven, Matinicus, and Islesboro. The Farnsworth Art Museum — with its major collection of works by Andrew Wyeth, N.C. Wyeth, and Jamie Wyeth alongside other Maine-identified artists — gives Rockland a cultural weight that extends well beyond its waterfront function. The Breakwater Lighthouse, accessible by a nearly mile-long granite causeway, is among the most distinctive landmarks in Maine.
