Golf in Bath

Bath Township in Clinton County east of Lansing has given its name to some of the region's most prominent recreational golf destinations, including the Eagle Eye and Hawk Hollow complex that has earned recognition among Michigan's better public course options. The township also holds a darker place in Michigan history as the site of the 1927 Bath school disaster, the deadliest school massacre in American history, in which a local farmer detonated bombs he had planted in the Bath Consolidated School, killing 38 elementary school children and six adults. Bath Township today is a growing suburban community serving the Lansing metropolitan market with the natural terrain and developing residential character that have made it an attractive address for families in the capital city corridor.
