Golf in Bridgman

Bridgman is a small Berrien County community on the Lake Michigan shoreline in southwestern Michigan near the Indiana border, a village in the fruit-belt zone where the lake-effect climate moderates temperatures and creates the conditions for peaches, blueberries, and the increasingly important wine grape production that has made southwestern Berrien County part of Michigan's growing wine corridor. The Cook Nuclear Power Plant's twin reactors dominate the shoreline south of town—the largest nuclear power plant east of the Mississippi by output—and the plant's workforce provides an economic foundation for the broader Bridgman community alongside the fruit-growing and lake-resort economy.
