Golf in Grand Ledge

Grand Ledge is an Eaton County city on the Grand River west of Lansing, a community named for the dramatic sandstone ledges along the river that served as a natural attraction since the nineteenth century. The ledges themselves—now protected as a park—made Grand Ledge an early resort destination, and the community has maintained a more natural character than some of the Lansing-adjacent communities that have developed primarily as bedroom suburbs. Grand Ledge's position in Eaton County gives it the agricultural and small-city character that distinguishes the communities west and south of Lansing from the more urbanized eastern suburbs in Ingham County.
