Golf in Harris

Harris is a small Menominee County community in Michigan's Upper Peninsula west of Escanaba, a rural community in the agricultural and timber land of the central UP whose proximity to the Dickinson County line and the Iron Mountain–Kingsford urban area gives it a supporting role in the more developed commercial corridor along US-2. Menominee County's agricultural character—it has more cropland than most UP counties—distinguishes it from the mining and timber counties to the north, and Harris reflects the farming community character of a rural village in a county whose economy has been more tied to the land than to the extractive industries further north.
