Golf in Iron Mountain

Iron Mountain is the county seat of Dickinson County in the central Upper Peninsula, a city whose iron-mining heritage, the Menominee Iron Range shared with neighboring communities, and the Wisconsin border location give it the character of a regional commercial center for the central UP's most urbanized corridor. Iron Mountain–Kingsford together function as the UP's largest interior commercial hub outside of Marquette, and the Dickinson County area's mix of year-round residents, manufacturing employment, and outdoor recreation economy supports a more complete urban infrastructure than the isolated single-industry towns elsewhere in the UP. Multiple golf courses serve the Iron Mountain–Kingsford regional market.
