Golf in Ludington

Ludington is the county seat of Mason County on Lake Michigan, a community at the western terminus of the S.S. Badger cross-lake ferry service from Manitowoc, Wisconsin—one of the last car-carrying passenger ferries on the Great Lakes—whose lakefront character and state park beaches have made it a significant west Michigan resort destination. Ludington State Park, with miles of Lake Michigan beach and the Hamlin Lake inland, is one of Michigan's most popular state parks, and the combination of ferry service, beach tourism, and the community's year-round residential base gives Ludington a more diverse economic foundation than many comparably sized lake resort towns.
