Golf in Ontonagon

Ontonagon is the county seat of Ontonagon County at the far western edge of Michigan's Upper Peninsula on Lake Superior, a small port community whose copper-mining heritage and the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park nearby give it an outdoor recreation and heritage tourism identity. The Porcupine Mountains—'the Porkies'—are one of the largest wilderness areas east of the Rockies, with old-growth forest, Lake of the Clouds, and the Superior shoreline providing dramatic natural scenery that draws hikers and nature visitors to the remote western UP.
