Golf in Tecumseh

Tecumseh is the county seat of Lenawee County in the rolling agricultural terrain of southeastern Michigan, a city named for the Shawnee leader killed at the Battle of the Thames whose history and position as a significant Michigan clock-making center in the nineteenth century give it a specific historical identity. Tecumseh's clock industry—Eli Terry Jr. and other clock makers established operations here in the 1800s—and the county-seat role have made it a self-contained small city with a commercial identity beyond mere agricultural service.
