Graham is the county seat of Alamance County, in the NC Piedmont between the Triangle and the Triad. The city is on the Haw River in the piedmont terrain between Burlington to the north and Mebane to the east, along the I-40/I-85 corridor. Alamance County is notable as the site of the Battle of Alamance in 1771, one of the events leading up to the American Revolution, and the county historical museum reflects this heritage. Graham's position between the Triangle and the Triad gives it accessibility to both major metro areas.
