Golf in Highlands

Highlands is a small mountain resort town in Macon County, at around 4,100 feet elevation on the Highlands Plateau in the southern Blue Ridge. The town sits near the Eastern Continental Divide, with waterfalls, outcrops, and dense mountain forest surrounding the community. Highlands has been a summer resort destination since the 1880s, attracting residents from the Southeast's lowland communities to the cool plateau setting, and today it is known for upscale dining, galleries, and private club golf.
