Golf in Hillsborough

Hillsborough is the county seat of Orange County, in the NC Piedmont west of the Triangle. The town is one of the oldest continuously occupied European settlements in North Carolina, on the Eno River at the base of the Piedmont, with a well-preserved historic district that reflects its colonial-era prominence. Orange County is home to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough serves as the county seat and governmental center of this university county. The Eno River, Occoneechee Mountain State Natural Area, and the town's historic character make Hillsborough a distinctive piedmont community between the Triangle and the upper Piedmont.
