Golf in Pine Knoll Shores

Pine Knoll Shores is a small island town in Carteret County, on Bogue Banks between Atlantic Beach and Salter Path. The town occupies the quieter central stretch of Bogue Banks, the barrier island that forms the Crystal Coast's main beach between Beaufort Inlet and the White Oak River. The North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores is located in the town, in the maritime forest terrain of the island. The town's character is primarily residential, with a quieter atmosphere than the more resort-oriented communities at Atlantic Beach to the east and Emerald Isle to the west.
