Golf in Alliance

Alliance is the Box Butte County seat in northwestern Nebraska, a city of roughly 8,000 that functions as the commercial and healthcare hub for a large swath of Panhandle country. The city sits at nearly 4,000 feet elevation, giving it a High Plains character distinct from Nebraska's eastern regions. Alliance is home to Carhenge — a full-scale replica of Stonehenge built from junked American automobiles — which has become one of the state's most quirky and beloved tourist attractions.
