Golf in Nellis AFB

Nellis Air Force Base is a major USAF installation northeast of Las Vegas in Clark County, home to the 99th Air Base Wing, the USAF Weapons School, and multiple tactical fighter squadrons. The base serves one of the most significant military aviation missions in the world, conducting advanced training over the Nevada Test and Training Range — some of the most protected and heavily used restricted airspace in the country. The surrounding urban expansion of North Las Vegas and eastern Las Vegas has closed in on the base perimeter in recent decades, making the installation a notable island of open space within the broader metro. Sunrise Vista Golf Course provides a 27-hole recreational facility for base personnel, configured as three nine-hole courses named for aircraft central to Nellis's mission: Falcon, Eagle, and Phantom.
