Golf in Summerlin South

Summerlin South is the southern portion of the Summerlin master-planned community, the Las Vegas Valley's most ambitious large-scale residential development stretching along the Spring Mountains' eastern base. Developed by The Howard Hughes Corporation on land that was once Howard Hughes's personal holdings, Summerlin has grown into a city-within-a-city with its own downtown, parks, trails, and extensive golf infrastructure. Bear's Best Las Vegas, Red Rock Country Club, and The Summit Club all occupy terrain here where the valley's edge meets the Spring Mountains foothills. The Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area creates the community's western boundary and provides a dramatic backdrop for golf courses that use the natural terrain's elevation changes to create a playing experience distinct from the valley floor.
