Dansville is a village in Livingston County in the Finger Lakes region, in the Canaseraga Creek valley at the edge of the Genesee Plateau. Livingston County's southern section around Dansville rises into the more elevated terrain of the Allegheny foothills, above the main Genesee Valley floor to the north.
