Golf in Boring

Boring is a Clackamas County community in the Sandy River corridor southeast of Portland, part of the rural-suburban fringe that stretches between the city and the Mount Hood foothills. The town's self-aware name has become a modest tourism draw, but the surrounding landscape is genuinely scenic — small farms, nurseries, and the volcanic soils of the Sandy River basin create an agricultural patchwork that differs markedly from the urban west side. Golf in this part of Clackamas County occupies the space between Portland's suburban edge and the mountain resort areas further east on Highway 26.
