Golf in Fairview

Fairview Township in Erie County occupies the shoreline corridor west of the city of Erie toward the Ohio state line, where Lake Erie's bluff terrain meets the agricultural land that continues south into the flatter township interior. The township has grown steadily as Erie's residential expansion pushed westward, and commercial development along Route 20 and I-90 has made Fairview's western Erie County position increasingly accessible. Lake Erie's influence is immediate here — the bluff views over the lake are among the most dramatic in Erie County, and the lake's thermal mass moderates temperatures through the growing and golf season. Two courses serve this corridor, each drawing from both the permanent residential population and the seasonal recreational traffic that uses the township's lake access. The Ohio state line lies just minutes west, and some of Fairview's market extends across the border into Ashtabula County.
