Golf in Narragansett Pier

1 golf course in Narragansett Pier, Rhode Island.

Narragansett Pier is the commercial and social center of the town of Narragansett, historically the most fashionable summer resort in New England during the Gilded Age. The famous Narragansett Casino — designed by McKim, Mead & White and destroyed by fire in 1900 — anchored a resort economy that attracted presidents, industrialists, and society figures throughout the late nineteenth century. Today the town tower, the only surviving element of the Casino complex, stands as a symbol of that vanished world. The South Shore's broad sandy beaches, Point Judith's lighthouse, and the authentic working-fishing harbor have sustained Narragansett as a destination for generations of summer visitors.
