Golf in Jamestown

Jamestown is a town coextensive with Conanicut Island, the narrow landmass in the middle of Narragansett Bay connected by bridges to Warwick and Newport. The island offers a slower pace of life than its neighbors, with a small year-round community of about six thousand swelling significantly in summer as families return to their seasonal homes. Fort Wetherill State Park on the island's southern tip provides dramatic ocean views and is a popular diving and picnicking destination. The Beavertail Lighthouse at the island's southern end is one of the oldest lighthouse sites in North America. Conanicut Island's position in the center of the Bay gives every visitor a sense of being surrounded by water.
