Golf in Middlebury

Middlebury is the seat of Addison County and one of Vermont's most accomplished small cities, home to Middlebury College, the Vermont Folklife Center, and a compact downtown of craft breweries, bookstores, and galleries. Middlebury College's international language schools attract global students every summer, making the town briefly cosmopolitan in July and August. The Otter Creek and New Haven River watersheds define Addison County's agricultural landscape, and Middlebury's farmers' market reflects the region's strong food and farming culture. The Middlebury Snow Bowl, a college-owned ski area in the Green Mountain foothills, extends the college's outdoor programming into winter. The Henry Sheldon Museum of Vermont History preserves the cultural artifacts of Addison County's past, and the college's Bread Loaf campus in Ripton hosts the famous Bread Loaf Writers' Conference each summer.
