Golf in Fond du Lac

Fond du Lac sits at the southern tip of Lake Winnebago, the seat of Fond du Lac County and a commercial center for east-central Wisconsin. Its name, French for foot of the lake, reflects its position at the base of Wisconsin's largest inland lake. The city grew around manufacturing and remains a hub for the surrounding dairy region, with the lake drawing anglers, boaters, and sturgeon-spearers through the seasons. The Niagara Escarpment and the High Cliff country rise along the lake to the northeast. Fond du Lac lies within reach of both the Fox Valley to the north and the Milwaukee metro to the south.
