Canyon Lakes Golf Course is in San Ramon, Contra Costa County, in the I-680 valley corridor between the Diablo Range to the east and the Livermore Valley hills to the west. San Ramon is a large suburban city in the southern East Bay, and Canyon Lakes occupies a portion of the Dougherty Valley in the eastern portion of the city.
