Mather Golf Course

Mather Golf Course is in Mather, an unincorporated Sacramento County community on the grounds of the former Mather Air Force Base, which closed in 1993. The airport runways were converted to Mather Airport, a cargo and general aviation facility, and portions of the base were developed for residential and recreational use including the golf course. Rancho Cordova lies to the west, and Highway 50 connects the area to downtown Sacramento about 20 miles to the northwest. The American River lies a few miles to the north.
