McInnis Golf Course

McInnis Golf Course sits in the Hamilton area of San Rafael in Marin County, on the former Hamilton Army Air Field property adjacent to San Pablo Bay at the northeastern edge of the county. The Hamilton property has been transitioning from military use to residential, commercial, and recreational development since the air field closed in 1976. McInnis occupies the flat bay-margin terrain of this transition zone, in the part of Marin County that borders the bay rather than the ocean-facing terrain for which Marin is better known.
