New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course

New Mexico Military Institute Golf Course is tied to NMMI, the nation's oldest state-supported military junior college, located in Roswell. The Institute has operated continuously since 1891 and sends graduates to all branches of the military as well as to civilian careers. The golf course serves cadets, faculty, and the wider Roswell community in the Pecos Valley lowlands at around 3,600 feet. Roswell's flat, semi-arid setting contrasts sharply with the mountain courses two hours west in Lincoln County — conditions here are warmer, drier, and windier, reflecting the high-plains character of southeastern New Mexico.
