Homowack Lodge Golf Course (Defunct)

Homowack Lodge Golf Course in Cragsmoor, Sullivan County, is a defunct facility formerly associated with the Homowack Lodge resort on the Shawangunk Ridge. The course served the Cragsmoor community and resort guests in the elevated Shawangunk terrain at the border of Sullivan and Ulster counties. The Cragsmoor hamlet sits on the Shawangunk Ridge at a high elevation above the Sullivan County valleys, in a setting that attracted summer resort development in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The golf course operated in the resort era of the area's development on the Shawangunk Ridge.
