Golf in Florence

Florence is the county seat of Pinal County in the flat agricultural terrain along the Gila River in central Arizona, at a relatively low elevation in the warm Sonoran Desert. The community is known as an Arizona state corrections center, with multiple state prisons in the area contributing to the local economy. Florence has a notable downtown with a number of nineteenth and early twentieth century buildings reflecting its long role as the Pinal County seat. The Gila River agricultural district around Florence uses water rights under the Gila River water settlement to irrigate cotton and other crops in the flat river valley terrain. Three courses serve the Florence community in the flat agricultural terrain of the Pinal County seat.
