Golf in San Tan Valley

San Tan Valley is a rapidly growing unincorporated community in eastern Maricopa County and western Pinal County, in the outer southeastern Phoenix metro area south of Gilbert and Queen Creek. The area has attracted significant residential growth as young families have sought less expensive housing in the outer East Valley, with master-planned communities like Encanterra Golf and Country Club drawing resort-oriented residential development. San Tan Valley's position at the Maricopa-Pinal County border places it at the edge of the Phoenix metro's expansion zone, in the flat desert terrain that has been rapidly converted from agricultural and desert land to residential use. Two courses serve the San Tan Valley community in the outer southeastern metro terrain.
